The importance of an in car camera (Dashcam)

You are driving down the road one day, the weather is clear, its a beautiful day. You have your windows down enjoying the perfect temperatures when all of a sudden a car pulls out into your path, you hit the brakes as hard as you can but rear end the other vehicle. You are okay, and so is the other driver. The police arrive and now its your work vs theirs. The other driver claims they slowed down to enter a driveway and you hit them, you know they are lying... but how do you prove it?

This is where a dashcam can save you. A dashcam is a camera mounted on your front and or back window that constantly records as you are driving. It has a continuous loop filming system meaning as it films something new it deletes the oldest clip. The amount of video is saves depends how large your memory card is, but usually it can save around 5 hours of video. With that camera recording in an accident like that you could easily prove that the other driver is lying. Some insurance plans or agencies even offer discounts to dashcam users. To top all of that off, you can catch clips of bad drivers, and upload them to youtube too! Overall a dashcam is a very important investment.
