Flickr's Downfall

Flickr is well known in the photography community as a place to host, share, and exhibit your photos in a safe high quality environment. With tons of groups, from the rail fans, to the nature buffs, everyone had their place to share photos. Recently everything changed, SmugMug bought Flickr and told members improvements were to come! For a while it looked like they abandoned us, no improvements in sight, until now. How it used to be was free members had a 1TB cap, room for plenty of photos! Now they are setting a hard cap of 1000 photos. As a photographer , sometimes I take over 100 photos at one event alone! This is a shame, a move to push members away from Flickr and purchase SmugMug subscriptions. Soon we will see a mass migration of members away from Flickr as they are giving you a limited time to retrieve your images before they delete them. So instead why not just delete my whole account, years and years of work on the community gone to waste. What a shame.
